Salamis Parhasuss is a species of Nymphalidae butterfly found in forested areas of Africa. Also called the  Forest Mother-of-Pearl  this butterfly has a pearly-white to greenish- white coloring with a violet sheen. The forewing is shaped like a bird and is dark tipped. Background paper has overlapping raised circles in an elegant pearly champagne colored sheen.
